Jodit M. de Bruin

Jodit de Bruin is a lawyer and partner in the Property & Government practice group. After working for a short period as a candidate civil-law notary, she joined FORT in 2005. Jodit specialises in civil property law, focusing in particular on residential and commercial landlord and tenant law, purchase/sale, apartment rights, ground lease, structures, neighbours’ statutory rights and obligations, and procedural law.

Jodit has broad experience in advising and litigating on a wide range of property law subjects. She very regularly represents professional landlords, e.g. developers and investors. She also regularly promotes the interests of tenants, including retailers. Jodit furthermore assists other parties operating in the property sector, such as municipalities and corporations.

Jodit’s clients consider her a conscientious lawyer with an accurate approach, who always favours pragmatic solutions. Jodit is alert to her clients’ needs, thereby avoiding future disputes.

Jodit lectures and regularly publishes on various property law subjects. She works as a lecturer for OSR Juridische Opleidingen in Utrecht.

Jodit’s favourite leisure activities include fine dining and city trips.
