Tonnie Valkenaars is a lawyer with FORT’S Property Law and Government Affairs practice group. Tonnie has extensive experience in several areas of law, out of interest but also out of conviction. In recent years her practice has focussed on civil property law and in particular, residential and commercial tenancy law, purchase and sale, apartment rights and statutory rights and duties between neighbours.
She advises property investors, other professional landlords and estate agents, among others. After having graduated in Dutch law from the University of Amsterdam in 1992, Tonnie worked at the law firm Ruttner & Partners in Budapest, at the law firm De Koning & Vergouwen Advocaten and from 2008 at the law firm Külbs Advocaten. She joined FORT on 1 June 2016.
In 2007 Tonnie completed the Postgraduate Specialist Training Course Immovable Property at the Grotius Academy and in 2016 the Mediation Training Course at the Centre for Conflict Management and Mediation in Haarlem.
Tonnie is a member of the Dutch Association of Property Lawyers.
